Office closures - Our teams have worked exceptionally hard during the pandemic, so we are giving everyone an extra day’s holiday as a thank you. On Friday 23 July our offices will be closed and we will be offline.

Dorset Growth and Resilience Fund

As part of my communications in connection with upcoming webinar on Funding for SMEs in Dorset I was passed a link to the snappily tilted “Additional Restrictions Grant (“ARG”) phase 5: Dorset Growth and Resilience Fund”.

Before I go on and set out an overview of the Fund I should point out that:

  • There is limited ARG funding available. The fund is a competitive round and only the highest scoring applications will receive funding.
  • This phase will close on 7 December 2021.

Dorset Growth and Resilience Fund – key details

Key details of the Fund as extracted from Dorset Council webpage are:

  • business resilience for those still suffering from the longer-term impact of closures and allowing them to move forward and grow the business
  • business support packages and helping the local economy

Grants Grant awards range from £5,000 to £50,000.

You will need to provide a budget breakdown of how the grant will be spent.

As indicated above we are hosting a series of webinars on Funding for SMEs (see blog for background) and the Dorset one is on 23 November 2021 at 12 noon – you can register to attend here.

By the 23 November 2021 I will have a “Finance in Dorset factsheet to share with delegates – but thought given the timescale for applications to be in on  Dorset Growth and Resilience Fund, I would share these detail now.
