We were excited to see our clients INEOS Team UK in the news recently as they officially named their race boat for next year’s America’s Cup.…
Business Secretary Alok Sharma has been writing to local authorities telling them to return any unspent money for both the following schemes by 29 August 2020, meaning that it really is the last call to claim:
- Small Business Grants Fund (SBGF)
- Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Business Grants Fund (RHLGF) schemes
The latest statistics published as of 3 August, shows that £10.83 billion has been paid out to over 882,920 business properties. However, looking at the latest Local Authority grant payments a total of £12.33 billion had been allocated to local authorities for payments through the two rates related grant schemes.
What you should do if you think you may be eligible
Any business who thinks that may be eligible for the grant support should research this now. You can find out more from our previous blog which goes into detail about eligibility for the schemes.
If you would like to discuss this with us, please get in touch with your usual contact at PKF Francis Clark or myself and we will be more than happy to help
And finally, a request…
Given all I have read about the Local Authority Discretionary Fund being oversubscribed, can the UK Government please consider the redeployment of these funds to this scheme?
