Today (7th December), our Truro office hosted the 4th in its series of monthly breakfast seminars. This one focused on Export and featured the following presentations:
|Dr. Colin Piper Export Manager, Department for International Trade||Overview of the Export for Growth programme: a programme aimed at supporting those new to export and those looking to export to new markets|
|Ross Bond VAT Senior, PKF Francis Clark||VAT for exporters…practicalities and pitfalls|
|Julie Ounsworth International Director in the South West, Santander||Finance for export, including UK Export Finance (UKEF)|
A copy of the presentations can be found here.
Scott Bentley, Partner, who chaired the event also made mention of the PKF network that PKF Francis Clark are a part of and its benefits in terms of being able to access in-county tax experts for businesses maybe looking to establish a trading base outside of the UK.
Scott commented on the event,
“I was pleased with the how the event went and would like to thank the presenters for being as informative as they were – specifically on the practical support that is out there for exporters: be they are first time exporters or those looking to break into a new market. It was especially satisfying to hear one delegate describe this event as the “best yet”. I have passed this on to the team who help make these events happen – my thanks specifically to Linda, Devon and Andrew.
“Andrew James has already planned the next 2 in the series – the first of these being on the subject of ‘Incentivising staff through shares and share options’. Again, we will be joined by an external expert in the subject, this time a solicitor to complement the expertise we have at PKF Francis Clark. I know Andrew will be keen for this event to be at least half as well received as todays!”
