In the afternoon of 25 June 2019 at Newquay Cinema, Cornwall Chamber of Commerce will be hosting, what has become their annual, Sustainability Conference.
As readers of our blog and/ or attendees of our breakfast briefings will be aware that this is a subject close to my heart and of course is rightly front page news at the moment.
The Cornwall Chamber of Commerce event starts at 1:45pm, after the buffet lunch that follows our event, Finance Cornwall 2019. I will be attendance and I look forward to seeing you there.
More details of the event in the words of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce…
“Right now, climate change and the damage wrought on the environment by human behaviour have begun to take root in our collective consciousness. From school children striking to local social groups, we are beginning to see impressive results. Sustainability has shifted from a “nice to have” to a core component of business strategy for many companies across the globe.
With a fantastic range of industry experts speaking across topics including Renewable Energy, Water, Plastic and much more, this is a FREE event, run by Cornwall Chamber of Commerce for business owners or employees charged with addressing the issue of sustainability. The conference will allow delegates to:
- Learn about exciting local initiatives
- Preserve Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
- Reduce business running costs
- Address customers’ sustainability concerns
Arrive from 1:30pm, with speakers from 2pm starting with a welcome from Kim Conchie, CEO of the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. Speakers:
- John Henry Looney – Sustainable Direction
- Nigel Ponsford – South West Water
