Budget 2021 – panel discussion recording

Following Wednesday’s Budget announcement Corporate Partner, Duncan Leslie, hosted a panel discussion with Head of Tax, John Endacott, Tax Directors Steve Ashworth and Heather Britton and Head of VAT, Simon Anslow.

With over 500 registered to attend, topics under discussion included the macro economics and the role of inflation on our indebted country, Rishi Sunak’s approach to raising taxes vs supporting businesses and individuals, the corporation tax rise, continuation of furlough and self employed support, super deductions and business investment, property taxes, Freeports, VAT issues – oh and capital gains tax and what wasn’t announced!

It was a jam-packed 45 minutes of discussion – we even had time for a short ‘you’re on mute’ pause!
