Business Recovery & Insolvency Specialists

We pride ourselves on our reputation of providing good quality advice with the focus on trying to rescue the business wherever possible and avoiding formal insolvency.

Options for individuals

There are a number of options available to individuals who are struggling to cope with their debts. In some circumstances Bankruptcy can’t and shouldn’t be avoided, but there are other options which should be explored beforehand. Our specialists can help with: Informal Arrangements, Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA), Bankruptcy and Debt Relief Orders.

Options for businesses

We can advise on the alternative options and the consequences of each, trying to avoid a formal insolvency procedure where possible. When formal insolvency is inevitable we can guide you through the process to ensure matters are dealt with properly, minimising the risks to Directors. Our specialists can help with: Liquidation, Pre Pack Administration, Administration, Receivership, Company Voluntary Arrangement CVA, Directors risks and responsibilities.

Options for creditors

Not being paid by your customer is frustrating and in the worst cases could lead to the insolvency of your business through no fault of your own. Creditors often don’t realise there are a number of options available to them which could lead to the successful recovery of a debt.

Working with other advisers

Business Recovery and Insolvency is a very specialist area. We always work in partnership with the business’s existing professional advisers and accountants. Together we seek to rescue the business where possible and avoid formal insolvency, therefore maintaining your existing client relationship.

Escalate Dispute Resolution

PKF Francis Clark has launched a new service for clients which deals with the difficult area of commercial dispute resolution. The new process is called ‘Escalate’ and covers the full range of commercial disputes – including bad debt, contractual and negligence, all of which SME businesses typically face.

Members Voluntary Liquiation

When a company comes to the end of its useful life, Members Voluntary Liquidation (a solvent liquidation) is often a tax efficient way for the shareholders to extract the value accumulated in the company. We have a dedicated MVL team who will work with you and your existing advisers to ensure the process runs smoothly and that assets are returned to shareholders as soon as possible.
