Cornwall Business Awards 2019 – the Public Vote is Open!

By Andrew James

The Cornwall Business Awards 2019 finalists have been revealed I have been notified that the Public Vote for the Business of the Year 2019 is now open…

Cornwall Business Awards – The Public Vote

Kirsty Miles-Musgrave, Communications Manager, Growth & Skills Hub is quoted: “We are really excited to launch this new category and open up the decision making to the public, asking them to choose their Business of the Year from a really fantastic group of finalists. As the vote will close during the Awards evening itself, no one will know who has triumphed until minutes before the winner is announced – not even us!”

I will be looking at the finalists and voting in due course and I will be encouraging my colleague’s here at PKF Francis Clark to follow suit.

It looks like it will be a reasonably straightforward process to vote, although as the website/ PR piece says, “you will only have one vote, so choose wisely” (so many Brexit related comments come to mind but..)

More details and a link to voting can be found here.

(By the way, if any of you reading this have a table booked for the award dinner are looking for a well behaved accountant to be their guest on the night, please contact me…  See previous blog for context to this comment).

Finance in Cornwall

Also being held during Cornwall Business Week is our 13th Finance in Cornwall event.  This event often referred to as “meet the funder” features short presentations from a range of finance providers and business support agencies and there is opportunity during the morning for business owner/ managers to introduce themselves to the financiers and business support agencies presenting and otherwise participating in the event.
