Breakfast Briefings – April 2019

This month’s Breakfast Briefing is based on the theme of ‘why a healthy workplace is important and some practical ideas to implement’.

The workplace is where many people spend the largest proportion of their time. It can therefore play a key role in contributing to the health of the individuals that work there and, in turn, the health of the whole organisation.

“Having a healthy and productive workforce should be every organisation’s ambition, especially in today’s competitive business environment” – that is a statement from Natasha Howard of Healthy Cornwall, who will be presenting at our breakfast event. Natasha will be joined by a couple of business leaders, including our own Ivan Burnard, who will overview some of the initiatives introduced into their respective workplaces. There will also be a short presentation on this year’s ROC 5k.

This presentation will cover:

  • Healthy Cornwall and the Healthy Workplace
  • Benefits of a Healthier Workplace
  • Healthy Workplace Award
  • Creating a Healthy Workplace
  • PKF Francis Clark Health and Wellbeing programme
  • PKF Francis Clark – ‘active’ event participation
  • ROC 5k – a most inclusive run

“A study of FTSE-100 companies conducted by Business in the Community (BITC) and Ipsos Mori, found that firms that actively promoted staff well-being and workplace health policies, recorded a 10 per cent boost in their financial performance”.

And if that is not enough, a healthy breakfast will be provided. Places are limited and will be available on a first come first served basis.

Please note there is no parking on site for this event.
