Breakfast Briefings – June 2019

Breakfast Briefing - June 2019

This month’s Breakfast Briefing is based on the theme of Cyber Security and GDPR.

“In the very near future, cyber security exercises are going to be absolutely expected of all companies by regulators”. Michael Vatis, founding Director of the FBI’s National Infrastructure Protection Center, January 2016.

We will be having a presentation on the various current threats to businesses and individuals in the form of cyber-attacks and also on the GDPR landscape one year on from its enforcement. We will be joined by Grahame Mace from Devon and Cornwall Police, Thomas Chartres-Moore from Stephens Scown, and Peter Lannon from PKF Francis Clark’s Cyber Protection Team.

This presentation will cover:

  • Current threats – Grahame Mace
  • GDPR landscape – Thomas Chartres-Moore
  • Examples of breaches and protection advice – Peter Lannon

And if that is not enough, breakfast will be provided. Places are limited and will be available on a first come first served basis. Please note there is no parking on site for this event
