Truro – February Breakfast Briefing

PKF Francis Clark proudly invites you to a breakfast briefing based on two hot topics in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly (and nationally) at the moment – Spaceport Cornwall and Innovation.

Spaceport Cornwall has been the subject of local, regional, national and international news coverage. The last piece of the funding package for the £20M project was approved by Cornwall Council in late November 2019. Melissa Thorpe, Head of Engagement at Spaceport Cornwall, will update us on developments and next steps, plus outline what this project will mean for Cornwall and specifically Cornwall’s business community.

Melissa will be joined by Matt Silver of Innovate UK and our own Richard Tyler, who will speak about the funding available for innovative businesses: through the various funds administered by Innovate UK and/or through R&D Tax Credits respectively. Matt is the Regional Manager for Innovate UK across the South West of England and is keen to let businesses know of the wide range (size and theme) of funding potentially available for businesses looking to engage in R&D/ RDI – both grants and loans.

Andrew James from PKF Francis Clark will also pick up very briefly on other funding potentially suitable for innovative projects/innovative businesses.

And if that is not enough breakfast will be provided. Places are limited and will be available on a first come first served basis.
