New Academies Handbook
After delays due to all the political upheaval recently, the Academy Trust Handbook 2022 that comes into force on 1 September has now been released.
There are no new requirements for Trusts, although the removal of the requirement for the BFRO has been confirmed and a number of points have been confirmed or clarified. Although there are no new requirements, it is always a useful exercise for Boards and Executive teams to review the Handbook, in particular the ‘Musts’ and the ‘Shoulds’, to ensure their Trust procedures remain best practice.
