Free spaces available at ‘meet the funders’ event

Featuring Martin Aldridge | 15th March, 2018

Due to its success, PKF Francis Clark’s meet the funders event will be returning again this year, but with a brand new name. Last year over 80 business owners took advantage of the free event.

The newly named ‘Finance in the South’ event is aimed at business owners looking to expand their business – or people planning to start their own venture and will take place at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, on Tuesday April 24 from 8am to 1pm. Places are free but limited.

The event seems to be well-timed, in response to the small business financier’s Liberis recent research that showed:

“small business education is desperately required…on how to navigate the perceived minefield of financial options”.

More than a dozen sources of grant, debt and equity funding, as well as business support agencies will be taking part, including Thin Cats, Syndicate Room, SWIG Finance and Get Set for Growth.

Chartered accountants and business advisers PKF Francis Clark, organisers of the seminar, will also be signposting other grant schemes and providing useful pointers to getting ‘investment ready’.

‘Short and sharp’ presentations will allow delegates to initially assess which funding stream or funder best matches their requirements and will assist both established businesses and those which are in their start-up and early growth phases.

There will also be networking opportunities for owners and managers to speak to presenters on a ‘one to one’ basis or make an introduction for a follow-up meeting.

Martin Aldridge, a Partner at PKF Francis Clark, said:

“After receiving superb feedback from our delegates last year, such as ‘a fantastic morning’ and ‘great line-up of speakers’, we are delighted to be supporting our local business community (both existing businesses and start-ups) again this year by providing them with the opportunity to speak to the funders and those that can help their businesses grow”.
