One of the most respected financial planning businesses in the South West has further strengthened its team with two key appointments at its Exeter office.
Chartered Financial Planner, Andy Hammond, joins the senior management team at Francis Clark Financial Planning (FCFP) from Nottingham-based solicitors, Nelsons, where he was Head of Investment Management.
Andy specialises in managing corporate client relationships, particularly concerning the accumulation of tax efficient funds for retirement and ensuring that business leaders and their families are protected.
Matt Tonkin, a Para planner who previously worked with the Tilney Group, also joins the Exeter office boosting the firm’s technical services capability.
The appointments bring the total number of financial planning staff across all FCFP’s eight offices in the South and South West of England to 50.
Mike Wilson, FCFP Managing Director, said:
“Changes to the pension landscape in recent years have increased the need for quality financial planning advice for high net worth individuals.
“As a firm of Chartered Financial Planners, we continuously strive to attract the best talent available to meet with the growing demand.
“This includes recruiting expert and experienced financial planners such as Andy Hammond and accomplished, highly technical and qualified individuals such as Matt Tonkin, who offers non-client facing skills in support of financial advisers including research, analysis and report writing.”
Francis Clark Financial Planning has Chartered status, which is awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), the leading professional body for the global financial services profession.
