Energy & Infrastructure Advisory

Delivering market leading results for our energy clients

PKF Francis Clark’s specialist renewable energy corporate finance advisory team provides investment and business advice, access to funding and specialist sector knowledge for clients in the energy markets.

Over the last 5 years we have successfully completed in excess of 50 renewable energy transactions.

These included industry firsts such as the first subsidy-free wind project disposal in 2017 and the first onshore wind CfD project disposal in 2015.

We recognise the particular challenges of businesses operating in the complex, highly regulated and fast-changing energy markets.

Our experienced Energy & Infrastructure Finance Advisory team has specialist energy sector expertise across all the major commercially viable technologies. These include: onshore wind; solar PV; energy & waste; storage and peaking power and hydro-electric.

As businesses look to make capital intensive investment decisions in the sector we are able to advise on all aspects of the transaction. These include: available support for renewables (grants), fund raising/financing, structuring commercial contracts. Examples include: long-term sales contracts to sell power produced and/or monetise government support schemes such as Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs), tax and commercial structuring.

Our core Energy & Infrastructure Advisory services include:

  • Disposals and acquisitions
  • Fundraising
  • Specialists valuations
  • Financial modelling
  • Advisory services

As part of the PKF Francis Clark’s corporate finance team, our energy experts also work alongside experienced senior corporate finance professionals who provide additional specialist advice and transactional support across tax advisory, grants and specific government support schemes, wealth management and due diligence issues.
