What is IASME Governance Certification?

IASME (Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises) Governance certification is a cost-effective way to demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to information and cyber security.

Created as part of a Government funded project to create an achievable and affordable alternative to ISO 27001, the framework is designed to enable SMEs to show customers they follow best practice when it comes to managing data securely.

The IASME Governance standard complements Cyber Essentials and provides assurance that your organisation complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

There are two routes to achieving the IASME Governance standard: a verified self-assessment or an independent on-site audit (IASME Gold). On passing the assessment, you will also receive the Cyber Essentials certification.

The self-assessment costs £400 + VAT and comprises around 160 questions, covering: management, governance, training, procedures, incident management and business continuity.

We can help with preparing for and completing the assessment process, as well as conducting an on-site audit of your governance processes and procedures.

IASME Gold audits vary in complexity depending on the size of your organisation. Please contact us for a quotation or to find out more.
