Year delay announced to VAT reverse charge for construction industry following concerns by Industry representatives!
HMRC has today announced that they are delaying the introduction of the domestic reverse charge for construction by a year, to 1 October 2020 (now further delayed until 1 March 2021). This will be welcome news for many in the construction industry.
It is expected that HMRC will work closely with the sector during the next 12 months to raise awareness and provide additional guidance and support to make sure all businesses will be ready for the new implementation date.
