Andrew Squires

Andy became a partner in 2011 and advises entrepreneurs, estates and family businesses on taxation issues. He is responsible for delivering private client tax services to a wide client base and for advising on capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning strategies.

He advises on the Enterprise Investment Scheme and use of tax breaks available for new equity investment in growing companies.

General succession planning also keeps him busy and he oversees our Professional Sports offering, who provide bespoke business advisory and strategic tax support to a wide range of established and aspiring sports professionals, across the UK.

For those sport stars fortunate enough to be granted a Testimonial, Andy advises Testimonial Committees on the rules and regulations surrounding the structure, set up and running of these entities which can sometimes appear to be a minefield.

Outside of the work environment, Andy can be found coaching his son’s junior rugby team and playing cricket. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a fellow member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.
