About Darren

Darren is based in the Exeter office, where he heads the firm’s Cloud Accounting and Outsourced Services Cloud Sourcing team. Darren joined PKF Francis Clark in 2012 as a family business manager; assisting a wide range of owner-managed businesses, from start-ups to established business, on a variety of issues including accounts, business advisory and tax.

These experiences, coupled with his involvement in his own family’s property and construction business, led to Darren forming the Cloud Sourcing team in mid-2016. Darren sees cloud accounting as the future of the accountancy industry. This is very much aligned to HMRC’s Making Tax Digital proposals.

“Using cloud software allows a far closer relationship between client and accountant; support, advice and tax planning can be offered in real time based on current financial performance. Automation of processes frees up time for the business owner to concentrate on running their business and affords us, as accountants, the opportunity to assist them in achieving their business goals”.
