Heather Britton

Director, tax and head of property & construction sector

Heather is a leading property tax adviser, specialising in maximising relief for capital allowances and providing strategic tax advice on property acquisitions.

She adds value to transactions and construction projects through commercially focused and insightful capital allowances advice. Her recent capital allowance experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors includes solar PV, wind, battery energy storage systems and gas peaking projects.

In addition, Heather works across a broad range of sectors, advising on transactions and helping optimise tax relief on both new-build and refurbishment projects.

Heather leads the firm’s property team delivering stamp duty land tax (SDLT) advice to purchasers. She also advises for landowners on development land, guiding them through structural considerations, tax implications and the options open to them.

Heather is both a Chartered Tax Advisor and Chartered Accountant. She has also shared her expertise through lecturing for the Chartered Institute of Tax (CIOT).

Outside of work, Heather enjoys playing tennis and walking the South West Coast Path.
