James England

James is senior manager of the Rural team in the Taunton office, working alongside Mike Butler and covering predominantly Somerset, with a few key clients outside this area.

With a background in general practice, from apprentice to Chartered Accountant followed by several years as a tax specialist, becoming a Chartered Tax Advisor in 2017, he has a wealth of experience.

He acts for a range of clients, namely farming and supporting industry including many family run businesses and understands and advises on the financial and tax implications of business structures, income and capital taxes and succession planning.

James joined PKF Francis Clark in 2019 to help establish the Rural team in the Taunton office, which has gone from strength to strength in those two years.

Outside of the office, James is a keen walker and mountain biker and shares his love for the outdoors with his wife, daughters and two dogs.
