Jemima is a private client tax consultant who has worked in our Plymouth office since 2006. Jemima gained experience prior to this in a smaller practice and a ‘Big4’ firm.
The needs of a private client can vary enormously and Jemima’s work reflects this, ranging from one-off, ad-hoc pieces of advice to longer-term, on-going client relationships with regular input. Jemima principally advises on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax matters for individuals, trusts and estates. In many cases this extends to family business owners and assisting with the succession of their businesses. This requires an understanding of personal and family affairs in order to assist with longer term wealth planning and meeting individual objectives.
Since joining PKF Francis Clark Jemima has worked with a number of different industries to include buy-to-let landlords, landed estates, agriculture, marine and international taxation. Jemima is a member of the PKF Francis Clark international tax team and her interest in the marine sector is reflected in the work she does advising on the Statutory Residency Test, domicile matters, seafarers and offshore structures. Jemima completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients in May 2017 with Distinction.
In addition to this Jemima is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, the Association of Taxation Technicians and holds a STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation.
