Mike’s early career as an Inland Revenue inspector of taxes has stood him in good stead for his move across to the accountancy profession over 25 years ago. He worked as a senior manager in a ‘Big 4’ practice, firstly in London and then Exeter specialising in tax consultancy and financial planning.
He moved to take charge of the financial planning operations for PKF Francis Clark at the beginning of 1996 and is managing director of the company with overall responsibility for the running of the financial planning service. Mike is also a partner in the parent accountancy firm Francis Clark LLP and holds the Chartered Financial Planner qualification.
Mike and his team have developed operations to become an integral part of the advice service to the clients of PKF Francis Clark and across the West Country to the wider public.
Mike has an extensive client base built up over the years through demonstrating a professional approach and a depth of expertise in all areas of financial planning and taxation. Mike also acts for many pension fund clients such as SSASs, SIPPs and most types of pension scheme including final salary arrangements.
