A former professional DJ and musician, Paul began his tax career with HMRC in 1978 and has since worked for both large and small accountancy firms before joining Francis Clark in 2004 as a tax advisory consultant from Grant Thornton. He became a partner at PKF Francis Clark in 2007.
Paul has many years of experience in advising musicians, actors, agents, authors, radio, film and television presenters, producers & directors and others in media and entertainment, ranging from those just starting out in the industry to some of the biggest names in the business. He advises on all the major taxes including income, capital gains and inheritance taxes and Stamp Duty Land Tax and is a specialist adviser to the legal sector.
He has extensive experience of advising non-UK Domiciliaries on inheritance tax efficient offshore trust structures, remittance basis planning and the statutory residence test.
As well as being a member of the Tax Faculty, Solicitors Special Interest and Entertainment & Media Industry Sector Groups of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Paul is a member of the Law Management Section of The Law Society and The Association of Partnership Practitioners.
