Scott provides advice on all aspects of employment and construction industry scheme taxes, as well as national minimum wage. He particularly enjoys navigating clients through the many recent changes within the UK employment taxes legislation, including termination payment changes, salary sacrifice restrictions, the intermediaries’ legislation (revised agency rules) and the public and private sector off-payroll working legislation (IR35 revisions).
Assisting clients with all matters relating to internationally mobile employees, Scott provides secondment planning advice as well as assistance with the associated UK compliance and the application of the UK statutory residency test. He also support clients with tax investigations and voluntary disclosures.
Scott previously worked for Subsea 7 as an employee tax manager, where he was responsible for 6,000 of their globally mobile employee’s tax compliance across 36 countries.
Along with holding a master’s degree in accountancy, he is a also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
