Chris Ryan

Chris is a senior tax manager in the international private client tax team. Chris spent almost 14 years working for a leading provider of offshore trust and company services in their Jersey (Channel Islands) office where he was previously head of client accounting before moving into a tax and regulatory reporting role.

Chris specialises in tax planning for individuals and trusts, dealing with both offshore and onshore aspects where he provides income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax advice.

As part of the international tax team, he advises both UK resident and non-UK resident clients, including individuals that are either leaving the UK or making plans to return to the UK. He provides specialist advice on dealing with residence testing, double tax treaties and advising clients on using the remittance basis.

Chris has a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Plymouth University. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser.

In his spare time Chris is a keen golfer and enjoys playing on challenging golf courses, testing his 11 handicap.
