We ensure good management and board communication is maintained during the audit process and we actively engage with all the stakeholders throughout. Our common aim is a set of audited accounts, delivered with minimal disruption and within the required timescales.
We see it as a fundamental part of our role as auditors to help the board discharge some of their onerous responsibilities, and our innovative audit completion report helps with just that.
It sets out the main risks and our recommendations as well as financial commentary and our clients find it an invaluable tool.
For those entities which fall outside of the audit regime but need an independent examination, we can conduct this in line with the new Charity Commission guidance.
Tax and VAT
It is a common misconception that not-for-profit organisations operate in an environment free from the burdens of tax and VAT. We know better. Whilst there are reliefs and exemptions, in reality the tax and VAT regimes may present significant challenges to your organisation.

Gift Aid is an area of tax specifically relating to not-for-profit organisations and we have a large number of clients who benefit from this scheme. We also ensure your organisation maximises Gift Aid and follows the correct procedures.
