Jo Edwards

Prior to joining PKF Francis Clark in 2016 Jo worked in VAT at HMRC for 13 years, gaining specialist experience in debt management, penalties, appeals and HMRC procedures.

Jo leads the handling of VAT registrations to ensure the best possible solution in terms of when and why you should VAT register. Jo has successfully processed a number of large VAT repayment claims by liaising closely with clients and HMRC to ensure both the VAT registration and returns allow for the best VAT recovery.

Specialising in VAT return compliance including MTD and partial exemption, Jo has developed a keen interest in the property sector, looking at the VAT implications of land and property, including the recent introduction of the Construction Industry Scheme Reverse Charge.

Jo has developed a wide range of VAT knowledge, regularly assisting clients and colleagues with a variety of VAT compliance queries and more recently is involved in Stamp Duty Land Tax enquiries.

In her spare time Jo enjoys the sunshine in her garden with friends and family and supporting her son with his sports activities.
